The number of actresses who have made it big without promoting nudity are minimal. Even the nepo kids.

Sharmila Tagore ji, Zeenat Aman ji, Parveen Babi ji etc were literally promoted as ‘sex symbols’ despite being good actresses back in the day. But beauty standards back then were still better than today (now it’s all about fair skin supremacy, plastic surgeries etc).

See, I don’t hate Yash I actually like him. He seems like a genuinely good person. But his popularity and massive fan following are so huge that people might start cheering for Ravana lol, which is definitely not a good thing. What do you think?

There are some movies who are made for great cinematic experience and others who are supposed to be a good time pass movie to watch with family on a friday evening , However Toaster is literally not even that . It is a movie so bad that one could not watch it for more than 15 minutes without finding himself scrolling reels out of boredom .

First of all , the only good part of it was Sanya malhotra , i feel like i would have not even tried watching it if she was not part of it . She delivered in every frame she was part of. If one person for who i can say that she deserves so much better in terms of projects i would say she is Sanya malhotra .

On the other hand , we have Rajkumar who literally tried to do what he is best at , to act as a middle class man but somehow he was bad even at that . For some reason he was not fun to watch in this movie at all . His screen presence in the movie was baaaddd , his funny dialogues were not funny at all , not for even a mere second in the 120 minutes of runtime of the movie . I feel like the real problem is that all his movies are starting to feel very repetitive . Probably i would have liked it more or atleast maybe would have given this movie a benefit of doubt if Rajkumar rao was not a part of it .

Thirdly, the colour grading and cinematography of this was so bad i am sick of seeing a combination of Red and Green silhouettes used in movies whenever they have to show mysterious or quirky scenes . I feel like it would have been much better if they went with a bright or atleast natural lighting , I don’t know if i remember it right or not but Kathal comes to my mind as an example of a good cinematography in a similar genre .

Other characters were fine , Abhishek banerjee portrayed his character with dedication. That lady playing Abhishek’s mother portrayed exactly what her character demanded . Archana and Karamveer both felt a bit cringy or over the top but probably it was intentional , regardless they definitely did not help much . Farah khan’s cameo was unnecessary anybody else could have been fine or better .

At last i just wanna say Rajkumar rao should try a diff genre and should leave this one for others who could do a better job and i wanna say the same to the writers and director of the movie as well .

If anybody really wanna watch something which is a quirky comedy and is also a good time pass movie , i truly would recommend PHONE BHOOTH over this any day . The red and green silhouette/ lighting i talked about earlier is used nicely in phone bhooth , i know i would be bashed for it but i said what i said .

Bhoot Bangla has released and is off to a very average start. It has failed to touch 10cr on its first day. Everything is OG about the film, but guess what, even a lot of dialogues (which became huge memes) are OG, despite having an original and a fresh story. So much potential wasted. Back in the day, Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar were making films without paying much heed to money-making, though that was an important factor too. It was cinema for the masses. However, with Bhoot Bangla, they have recreated so many of his dialogues/memes from so many cult comedies that there is no originality left. They should’ve stuck to freshness and creativity.

They are just milking memes, their old comedies and trying to recreate what the audience loved.
